The challenge
For more than a decade, Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Lifestyles Realty’s website was more formality than function.
“We’ve never used our website as a tool, and we’ve never gotten a lead. We’ve never converted an agent to working with us” using it, explained brokerage marketing director Holly Burt.
But she saw the potential. To grow beyond their seven Florida offices, Burt knew it was time to ditch their legacy all-in-one platform and build a site that could generate leads, attract top agents, and offer a seamless multi-MLS search.
The strategy
After six months working on a custom site with two different developers, the team hit a wall. “We ran into a whole slew of problems, legalities, the plugins not being able to filter, so we basically had no proper property search function,” Burt recalled. “We would have been stuck with that if we hadn’t found out about Luxury Presence.”
She knew Luxury Presence built beautiful websites, but didn’t realize the platform could also solve their biggest technical roadblocks. Together, they crafted a plan to:
- Create a first-class home search experience that can handle multiple MLS feeds
- Attract top agents with steady leads and cost-effective branding tools
- Establish a custom resource library and SEO-boosting tools in a simple interface
The impact
Even during the soft launch, results came quickly.
“Within the first week of launching our new website with Luxury Presence, we had about 10 leads,” Burt said. “After using our old website for 13 years, not getting one lead, it’s just mind-boggling.”
Inside of four months, organic leads jumped, and site engagement hit 57%. While the results were unlike Burt’s experiences with other real estate tech vendors, the rapid traction made sense in context.
“They built a Zillow-like search experience, but on our homepage, on our own website. And that was something invaluable,” she said. “Out of all of our competitors, [our website] is the sleekest looking and most highly functional.”
Luxury Presence’s password-protected pages replaced the brokerage’s old internal WordPress system, creating a centralized hub where agents can easily access marketing resources.
“Everything is unified in one place for the first time ever,” Burt said. “That makes everything else easier when trying to do marketing for the brokerage, to get agents to come work with us.”
And as the site’s primary operator, Burt’s found the tech partner she’s been searching for. “I finally felt understood,” she said. “I’ve been so happy with all the support that we’ve had. It’s like having developers and an analytics team at your disposal at all times.”
