As Luxury Presence welcomes Gabe Vincent as an advisor, he joined us for a conversation on performance, mindset, and standards, sharing the principles that guide him as a professional athlete and translate directly to business building, entrepreneurship, and real estate.
Vincent’s path to the NBA and the mindset behind elite performance
Vincent’s story is rooted in consistency and progression. He grew up in Northern California, earned a scholarship to UC Santa Barbara, and completed four seasons while graduating with his degree.
He then continued through the G League, competed internationally with Nigeria’s national team, and earned his call-up to the Miami Heat in 2020.
He has been in the NBA since and now plays for the Los Angeles Lakers, bringing a performance mindset shaped by years of daily standards and preparation.
When asked what it takes to perform at the highest level, Vincent emphasized three essentials:
- Discipline
- Focus
- Consistency
He described performance as something built through daily habits. Workouts, routines, nutrition, and preparation are part of the job, and the standard is to show up and deliver at a high level consistently.
“How you do anything is how you do everything”
Vincent explained that excellence is not situational. The level of effort, care, and focus you bring to small tasks carries into high stakes moments.
He pointed to everyday examples like making your bed and preparing a meal as reflections of the same standard applied to training, work, and pursuing a craft.
The parallel to entrepreneurship and business building
Luxury Presence’s CEO, Malte Kramer, shared the belief that building a business is a performance sport, especially for real estate agents who run their own small businesses.
Vincent highlighted accountability as a core parallel between sports and entrepreneurship.
You have to hold yourself accountable first to set the standard, lead others effectively, and keep the mission moving forward day in and day out.
What Vincent values in real estate professionals
As a homeowner in Los Angeles, Vincent shared what stands out to him as a luxury real estate consumer.
- Professionalism
- Preparation and homework on the property and neighborhood
- Knowledge of school districts and value drivers
- Strong questions during showings
- Attention to details a buyer might miss
For him, that level of preparation signals that the agent is skilled, thorough, and looking out for the client’s best interest.
What’s next with Luxury Presence
