How a Website Built Around Authentic Brand Identity Drove Lynn North’s Highest-Value Listing
After the brokerage that hosted her previous website was acquired, Lynn North unexpectedly lost access to her digital presence, leaving her without a platform to represent her business or communicate with clients. In searching for a solution, she discovered that Luxury Presence could do more than create a beautiful site. It could authentically represent her brand and generate her “unicorn” listing.

“You are the gold standard for websites. I died and went to heaven when I found Luxury Presence. You guys are the representative of who we really are.”

The Challenge
When Alain Pinel Realtors, where Lynn’s website was hosted, was acquired by Compass, her site was taken offline, forcing her to rethink how she controlled her online brand. After building her career as a luxury residential real estate advisor aligned with top-tier brands, she suddenly realized something fundamental had shifted.
“My whole life was associating with top brands,” Lynn explained. “Then a light bulb went on: I am the brand.“
But without a website host, she had no way to showcase that brand. Lynn needed more than just a new platform, she needed a digital presence that could:
- Accurately reflect her consultative, client-first approach
- Respond quickly to market changes and urgent updates
- Stand out in the competitive Los Altos luxury market
- Generate quality leads without constant hands-on management

The Strategy
The Luxury Presence team worked with Lynn to build a site that reflected her actual approach to real estate, not a generic agent template. They created her LN logo, helped her launch a market update tab, and set up a system where Lynn could access 24/7 support, including weekends, and get responses within hours.
“I may think about updates at 10 at night or 7 in the morning,” Lynn said. “I got an answer that day. Sunday morning at 11 o’clock, I’m getting ‘Okay, we’ll do this.’“
The site also showcased Lynn’s community work: Her sponsorship of Valley Monte’s mental health services, her 30-year commitment to senior care, and her unique practice of giving clients watercolor renderings of their homes.
The results validated Lynn’s belief that authenticity drives business.
“Within the first week, I had leads coming through the website. But the real validation came when I got an email from someone who said, ‘I’m really interested in having you come see our home. We’re interested in moving and we’d love to hear your perspectives.'”
That single inquiry became Lynn’s “unicorn” listing: A brand-new $6.5M+ property in Los Altos Hills that closed after attracting multiple offers.
But what made it special wasn’t just the price point.
After reviewing Lynn’s Luxury Presence website, the client selected her because it clearly reflected her consultative approach.
Beyond the unicorn listing, Lynn’s website is her most effective marketing tool:
- Market update feature drives consistent traffic and positions Lynn as a local expert
- Quarterly updates keep content fresh without overwhelming Lynn’s schedule
- Seamless changes happen within hours, even on Sunday mornings
- Community involvement section showcases Lynn’s values and attracts like-minded clients
- Professional presentation led Mauricio Umansky to personally call Lynn after reviewing her site
The website even helped Lynn mentor new agents. “I tell them: your value proposition is who you are. What is your gift? Luxury Presence helps clients see that shine through you.“

“My website really reflects who I am and it’s giving me business. It’s the best marketing dollars I’ve spent by far.”
Lynn’s experience with Luxury Presence goes beyond features and functionality. It’s about partnership
Collaborative approach
“What I love is you guys partner with us. Every time I want to make a change, they come back and say, ‘Is this in your voice? Does this make sense?’ You always make sure this is consistent with how Lynn is marketing her brand.”
Strategic thinking:
“I said, ‘I’m shocked that the majority of agents don’t have market update tabs. What do you think’s the first question anybody asks me? ‘How’s the market?’ We created one and it really sends people to my website.”
Authentic representation
When The Agency’s founder Mauricio Umansky called Lynn to welcome her, he opened with: “I’ve been looking at your website.” That site became the foundation of their first conversation, and Lynn’s introduction to the brokerage’s leadership.
“I cannot thank you enough for producing a product, having amazing employees that listen and take care of me, and more importantly give me the advice to say ‘We need to make this look right.’ We collaborate all the time. Because of that, it represents me in a way that I couldn’t do on my own.”
