Just about every real estate professional will agree that 2024 will go down as one of the most tumultuous years in our industry. As we look ahead to a calmer 2025, our own Michaela Fias, director of brand and marketing at Luxury Presence, shares her insights on trends in branding for next year and beyond.
Known for her role in shaping Luxury Presence’s impactful brand, Fias brings a wealth of expertise and insight into the future of brand strategy. Here’s her glimpse into the upcoming trends that real estate professionals need to know, along with key strategies for navigating — and thriving in — the year ahead.
Key trends in branding for 2025
From game-changing artificial intelligence (AI) design trends to the rising power of authenticity, here are the biggest predictions for branding trends in 2025.
Find It Fast
1. AI-driven design takes center stage
Fias predicted that artificial intelligence (AI) will be a defining force in branding for 2025, significantly impacting design and marketing processes. “AI is the keyword for next year,” she emphasized, noting that the technology is evolving beyond idea generation to creating “real-time brand assets and content.” This shift will allow brands to streamline production, creating quicker, more agile marketing campaigns.
According to Fias, AI’s role in branding will not only “democratize creativity” by giving brands easier access to high-quality designs but also provide real estate professionals with tools to customize marketing efforts on the fly. “AI-driven analytics will further reinforce that personalized approach, so you can connect with a buyer or seller at the right moment,” she said.
While AI offers efficiency, Fias reminded agents to use the time they gain back wisely. Real estate professionals should balance AI’s functionality with human connection to maintain “authenticity and emotional connection in branding efforts.”

2. A return to handcrafted, human-centered design
While AI is growing in importance, Fias also sees a countertrend: a renewed focus on handcrafted, human-centered design. She explained that embracing “the unique imperfections of human-made designs” could bring more authenticity to brands in an increasingly digital world. This contrast of AI and human-centered design will “balance technology with authentic culture,” she said.
“AI should only amplify and enhance the production of assets while preserving the unique elements that make each brand stand out,” she advised. This approach, balancing innovation and authenticity, will be key to navigating the next wave of real estate branding.
3. Vibrant color palettes and expressive typography
In terms of visual trends in branding, Fias forecasted changes in color and typography. She anticipated “lots of vibrant, bold color palettes, such as neon yellows and deep purples,” which will convey optimism and energy.
For typography, she predicted a rise in expressive fonts and “dynamic typefaces to add personality and uniqueness to brands.” This shift toward more distinctive typography could help real estate professionals’ branding stand out in a competitive market.
4. Taking minimalism to the max and the end of template-based design
While Fias doesn’t see the trend of spartan design choices disappearing in 2025, she does anticipate something of a twist on that theme in the form of “minimalist maximalism.” This approach combines simplicity with bold, expressive elements to enhance storytelling and bring “a fresh take on clean and sophisticated design.” It moves away from purely minimalist styles, adding dynamism to designs without clutter.
Anyone who follows more than a couple of agents on Instagram knows the influence of template-based design, particularly via platforms like Canva, has been gaining traction over the past few years. But Fias noted that the corresponding “flood of similar content” in the market makes brands look “generic and templated.” In 2025, she expects to see more real estate professionals invest in custom, unique design elements to “highlight their unique strengths and personality.”

5. Connecting with younger generations
As millennials and Gen Z increasingly enter the housing market, Fias emphasized the importance of authenticity and transparency for agents and brokerages seeking to connect with younger buyers.
“Agents should focus on sharing real stories and experiences, challenges, and victories,” she advised, explaining that transparency helps build trust. Additionally, she recommended leveraging technology, such as virtual tours and interactive videos, to engage with tech-savvy audiences.
Younger clients also value sustainability, making it worthwhile for real estate professionals to highlight eco-friendly practices and spaces. “Promoting sustainable products will attract those who prioritize ethical choices,” she said.
6. Balancing authenticity with professionalism
Authenticity has become a buzzword, but Fias noted a few nuances to this ongoing trend that real estate professionals should keep in mind for 2025.
To make authenticity work in practice, she suggested that agents “showcase the successes and challenges” of their work. Leveraging social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok to share behind-the-scenes content can “build authenticity and differentiate an agent’s tone of voice.” By doing so, agents can create a distinct identity that helps clients feel more connected.
The ongoing evolution of authenticity as a trend will require a balance with consistent, professional branding. Fias recommended using a “polished visual identity, clear messaging, and reliable service delivery” as a way to communicate professionalism while staying true to one’s brand identity. She noted that these practices “ensure that every interaction — from [the] website to customer service — reflects both the brand’s authenticity and its commitment to excellence.”

Another balancing act relates to consistency across platforms. “Ensuring a cohesive brand experience from online presence to in-person interactions is very, very important,” she said. Fias recommended regular reviews and updates to branding materials to maintain a consistent and professional image.
Embracing upcoming trends in branding for a dynamic future
The future of real estate branding will be dynamic and filled with opportunity. As real estate continues to evolve, Fias’ predictions provide a roadmap for real estate professionals looking to stay ahead. With a blend of AI innovation, human-centered design, and authentic storytelling, agents and brokerages can create brands that not only resonate but also adapt to changing times.
